Rainy season brings humidity, acid rain, and rapid temperature swings, all of which affect how long car window film lasts — especially for freshly installed film.
Caring for Film in the First 7 Days After Installation
- Avoid rolling the windows up and down; let the film cure for at least 5–7 days (rainy season may take longer than usual).
- Check the window edges periodically — if you see bubbling or peeling, bring the car in for inspection right away.
- Never use ammonia or alcohol to wipe the film; plain water is enough for cleaning.
Long-Term Care Throughout Rainy Season
- Wipe the window edges after every rain — don't let water pool at the rubber seal.
- Run the AC for 10–15 minutes after driving through heavy rain to clear cabin humidity.
- Avoid wiping hard while the glass is wet, as it can scratch the film surface.
